Michael Owen grabbed the headlines as the new signing scored the winning goal six minutes from time to give Manchester United a barely-deserved 3-2 win over hosts Malaysia. The Tigers had came back from two goals down to claw back to 2-2 against United thanks to Selangor midfielder Amri Yahyah's two goals. Malaysia then managed to keep United at bay with good possession play and were never under much pressure.
